Book Love

January 2018 Book Recommendations

Look, as an author, I don’t have time to read. I should be using all my spare time writing. But I’ve got a problem, a series problem. Before I became a writer, I was an obsessive, I MEAN obsessive book nerd. That addiction still plagues me today. So while I have drastically reduced the number of books I read a month, I still spend more time than note reading. So, here is your list of January MUST READS from yours truly. To note, any book I recommend has been read by me and more so, loved by me. This month, I’ve got a sexy lawyer, hot detective, a man on a mission to discover the truth, comic book artist,  and a runaway groom.

Can I say just how much I love Whitney G.? Her books are just so wonderful. I always know what to expect when I pick up one of her books. A knockout piece of work that has wonderfully developed character, witty dialogue and a fun and enjoyable plot. I can’t get enough.

Jennifer Rebecca writes some of the most entertaining stories ever. I mean, why wouldn’t a story that uses terms like “man meat” on the regular not make you giggle? The story was super fun and the characters were fantastic & full of personality.

[su_heading style=”default” size=”20″ align=”center” margin=”20″ class=””]Keep Her Safe by K.A. Tucker[/su_heading]

Tucker’s books are just so damn fantastic.  I loved both Noah and Gracie and their bond and chemistry was just so strong. The mystery only got more an more intense as the book went on. The story was so complex and interesting I thought about the story constantly. I loved this book so much that I decided to listen to the audiobook, just so I could relive the story again!

[su_heading style=”default” size=”20″ align=”center” margin=”20″ class=””]The Art of Us by Hilaria Alexander[/su_heading]

The Art of Us was a beautiful love story. It was nerdy yet sophisticated. It was heartfelt but fun. The location of the majority of the story was Japan,  but at times, the writing was so detailed that it felt like I was there. If you are looking for something a tad different, check this one out!

[su_heading style=”default” size=”20″ align=”center” margin=”20″ class=””]Runaway Groom by Lauren Layne[/su_heading]

I totally binged this book on the first day of the year.  I was so happy with the story and the characters that I was legitimately sad the story was over. I’d like to say here that if you are looking for a book FULL of personality, this book is for you. The plot featured a Bachelor-type show so Layne had to create tons of secondary characters. Also, its the second in the series, but you don’t need to read book one (I highly suggest it though) as the main characters do not crossover.

Until next month! Happy reading!
